I can’t share what I’m up to right now (as most of my work is bound by pretty Strick NDA’s and Embargoes until it’s gone public or been published), but here’s some fairly recent one’s (and a few from the archive) for you to check out.
I appreciate some of the content might be a little dated now, so please do view in context, (a few of these examples date from the days of Standard Def 4:3 Interlaced!!!).
I always try to keep projects on time and to budget, whilst pushing the craft and creativity as far as possible. I have a genuine passion for the work I do, and hopefully it shows in the examples you can view here.
It's been my enormous pleasure to work for and alongside many incredibly talented and genuinley lovely people who've all contributed in some way to the work on show on this site. Some I've tried to credit directly here, whilst there are others who are sadly no longer with us, but to everyone, (who knows / knew me!) a geunine THANKYOU. Hope I wasn't too annoying, and hopefully we all had a few laughs along the way...

Defender Interactive Touchscreen Experience (Torque Agency Group)
To support the original launch of the New Land Rover Defender, I developed and created an interactive real-time touchscreen experience, built using the Unreal Engine realtime 3D Graphics platform. The Experience allows the user to freely rotate the 3D view of the Car or related components inside various 3D environments, and via touchscreen controls select various aspects for closer inspection, with supporting data panels and video / still images appearing as overlays on the main 3D view. The 3D content was derived directly from the original CAD datasets of the car, ensuring accuracy and high fidelity, all in realtime.
Range Rover Augmented Reality full-size Exhibit (PTC)
To help illustrate the engineering stories behind the New Range Rover, I developed and created an immersive AR tablet experience running on Apple Ipad Pro devices, linked to a fullsize Body in White Chassis of the car. Once the augmented link is established, the viewer is free to walk around the exhibit, and select different aspects of the key stories, which are then shown as animated 3D content, overlaid onto the camera view of the iPad Pro, in realtime. I worked closely with the full size exhibit team, (websterandlancaster.co.uk), to ensure the content overlays were presented as accurately as possible.
Range Rover Sport Augmented Reality (Scale) Experience (PTC)
As part of the support assets for the technical press events of the New Range Rover Sport, I was asked to develop and create a desktop-scale AR Experience. Leveraging the extensive real-time Graphics capability of both the iPad Pro and Unreal Engine platforms, I was able to illustrate the various engineering stories in a variety of engaging and entertaining ways, using real-time 3D animated content overlaid onto the Camera view of the iPad pro, which the user is free to move to change the view etc., all in real-time. The Experience can be used as a standalone asset, or as a presenter-led interactive tool for “one-to-many” presentations.
Jaguar / SV Project 8 (TAG)
The launch of the exclusive Jaguar SVO Project 8 called for something different, and I was fortunate enough to be part of the team that helped to deliver an immersive projection-mapped “reveal” experience at the JLR Special Vehicle Operations Centre near Coventry, UK. Working closely alongside the AV team (www.ctf.co.uk), and using direct CAD datasets, I was able to help bring a static “Clay” model of the car to life in a dramatic sound and light, projection-mapped show, using all the tricks of live event theatre to create a sense of anticipation and excitement, which is helpful if the car on (virtual) display is capable of some amazing performance itself.
F-PACE Technical Films (TAG)
For the original F-Pace model launch, I storyboarded, Co-Directed, Edited and Post-Produced several Technical Explainer Films showcasing the All-New Jaguar F-Pace. I worked closely with the production team (www.finlondon.com), during initial pre-production and onsite production / shoot, ensuring that both the car and it’s presenters (JLR Technical Engineers) looked as good as they possibly could in each film. I employed a variety of editing and MoGFX techniques to help illustrate each story, and even scored a short audio jingle for the start of each film.
JLR “Lockdown” Virtual Broadcasts (PTC)
Post-pandemic JLR were looking for ways in which to continue their technical press presentation events during those uncertain times of early 2021, and I was lucky enough to be part of the team that proposed they broadcast a series of virtual events for the Velar, F-Pace and E-pace models. The broadcasts were a mixture of live web presentations, mixed with pre-rendered “virtual” studio content, that I was asked to create. PTC organized several CO-VID compliant Green-screen shoots of Technical Engineering presenters from JLR, and I then put this inside several Virtual Environments, alongside 3D CAD data drawn directly from JLR Datasets. Thanks to the powerful Unreal Engine platform, several long sequences of 3D animated and green screen footage could be successfully composed together, ensuring high production values, all in time for the live web-streamed broadcast schedule.
Jaguar Heritage Trust / Sir William Lyons Centenary (Virtual) Exhibition (PTC)
The 100 year anniversary of the original founding of Jaguar Cars by Sir William Lyons needed a suitably engaging exhibition to help celebrate the occasion. PTC were asked by Jaguar Heritage Trust if an online exhibition might be possible and PTC then asked me to investigate some possibilities, which eventually led to the development of a fully 3D online hosted exhibition, using the Shapespark platform. This “virtual museum” allows visitors to explore different rooms hosting various archive images, films drawn from the amazing JHT archives, plus newly created 3D model assets (by Funkdigit), all helping to tell the remarkable story of the development and history of the Jaguar car company, and the life of Sir William Lyons himself.

FAIRTRADE FOUNDATION UK (Funkdigit)
As well my work for global corporates, I’ve also been very happy to work with NGO’s and Charities such as Fairtrade, The British Red Cross and the Bobby Moore Fund. For Fairtrade, I was privileged to be asked to edit some short films using amazing footage shot in places like Ghana, India and Columbia, highlighting the huge benefits that can be achieved when Fairtrade is employed in the prodution of goods such as Tea, Bananas, Coffee, Cotton and Chocolate. Released on Youtube between 2008 and 2014, some of these films (still in use!) have had over 100k views, which can only be a good thing – spread the word, and swap your choc / cuppa / cotton..!
Christian Dior (C21st & Freelance)
As well as all my Automotive sector work, I used to generate assets for other sectors, such as Financial, Home Entertainment and Luxury Goods. One such set of examples are the marketing activity presentations I used to create for the wonderful Sophie Peters at Christian Dior (LVMH, London). Working from little more than a set of Magazines, I would be tasked with generating a series of linear animations, that Sophie could play as speaker support during her company marketing presentations. Whilst these may look a little dated now, I’m proud of how they turned out, considering it was mostly a bunch scans from mags like Cosmo, Vogue and Company, or repurposed content from Dior Press advertising – motto here was scan it and pan it!
FORD (Europe) – Various (Mansfields)
During the late 2000’s I was very fortunate to work with the mighty Mansfields production company, based in Basildon, Essex (home of the Mode!). Due to their proximity to Ford’s Dunton facility, and their associations with Ford of Europe, I worked on many productions creating content such as Film edits, PC display systems, Touchscreen Presentations, Sizzle reels and Event-opening Sequences, and early Voice Assist exhibits. I’ll always be grateful to Peter, Ivor (RiP), Cyrus and all the other crew there who generously sent so much work my way!
